There are many elements that need to be taken into consideration, which is why our itineraries are bespoke to suit your individual circumstances.
Here is what you can expect on a typical viewing trip:
Viewing Trip Itinerary
The ideal duration of a viewing trip is 3-4 days to maximise the full benefit of your time spent, but we tailor this according to your schedule and priorities. By the time you arrive, we will have already discussed your requirements in great length and presented a wide range of properties for you to consider. We will have taken on board your feedback and refined the selection down to those that are most suitable and relevant to you. Of course nothing beats first hand experience and seeing with your own eyes what is on offer, within the broader context of location. We want you to be as familiar with the Costa del Sol as you are in your own town as this is what equips you to make the best decisions. Here is an example of 4 day itinerary:
Your viewing trip starts from your arrival into either Malaga or Gibraltar airport, where one of our dedicated real estate representatives will personally meet you. They will take you to the pre-arranged hotel or accommodation of your choice and ensure you are checked in and taken care of. Once you are all settled, you can relax, sit down over coffee and run through the schedule for the coming days. Depending on flights, it may be possible to view a few properties that day, or take the time to familiarise yourself with your local surroundings.
After enjoying your Spanish breakfast, you will be met by your real estate partner to head out for the day. We like to show you between 7 -10 properties per day, but at the same time introduce to the hidden gems and highlights of the area. Everyone has their list of ‘Must Haves.’ For investors it may be a location which lends itself to year round rentals, close to the beach or golf courses. For families it could be finding a nearby international school for the children. For some its simply about being in their favourite holiday destination. Others want proximity to their airport and transport connections. We make sure we present you with a mixture of traditional resales properties, as well as brand new and off plan developments. It is important to assess the merits of each, as they all offer their pros and cons.
We will return you to your hotel at around 5.30pm, so you can enjoy your evening and digest all the information you have received during the day.
By day 3 you will have a much better idea about what you do and don’t like. We can therefore refine your property selection further, focusing on your preferred locations based on what you have seen over the previous days. We also recommend on Day 3 that you take the opportunity to meet an independent lawyer and mortgage adviser who can advise you on process and proceedings, address any concerns and answer any questions you may have. We can take care of these arrangements for you in advance to ensure your trip is as productive and helpful to you as possible.
In between viewing properties we will point out key points of interest, local amenities, landmarks and attractions. You will have the opportunity to relax over lunch on the beach, and consider and discuss what you have seen whilst getting a flavour for life on the coast.
By Day 4 you will be really clear about the area that you would like to focus on, and this is a good opportunity to revisit any specific property that sticks out in your mind . Whilst you may not find your perfect property on this trip, you will at least go away with a very good grasp of whats on offer. With this ground work in place when you can hit the ground running on your return Alternatively, you may find the property of your dreams and we can ensure the process begins correctly and formally by guiding you through the initial steps with the notary and lawyer.
